Food and drink service

The Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship covers a broad range of operational roles, including those people who serve food and drinks front of house.  Apprentices will learn about the hospitality industry in general as well as focusing on essential, specific areas around customers, business and people. The most important part of the Team Member’s role is developing fantastic hospitality skills and knowledge such as recognising customer needs, knowing how to match them to the products and services of the business, and working as part of a team to ensure that every customer feels welcomed and looked after. This apprenticeship allows apprentices to follow a specialist route that focuses on either food and beverage service (e.g. service styles, service standards, menu features, basic food and drink pairing) or working as a barista (e.g. preparing and serving different hot and cold beverages - especially coffee, product knowledge, and how to use the right equipment correctly).
